All About ME

I earned my Master’s degree in Drama Therapy from Kansas State University, and since graduating in 2011, I’ve worked in a wide range of settings, including community mental health, schools, and private practice.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in professional children’s theatre, where I helped manage an education department and devised in-school residencies focused on mental health and social–emotional learning. That experience shaped how I understand expression, creativity, and the many ways people communicate beyond words.

Over the years, I’ve continued to expand my clinical training, including earning a Post-Master’s Certificate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler Graduate School in 2025. My work today blends creativity, evidence-based practice, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience.

How I work

I work with children, adolescents, and adults using an approach that is collaborative, trauma-informed, and holistic.

I draw from drama therapy, expressive and creative approaches, narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and somatic processing - always adapting the work to the person in front of me. Rather than focusing on a single issue or diagnosis, I’m interested in understanding the whole picture: how emotional experiences, physical responses, relationships, roles, and life context overlap and influence one another.

Therapy with me is not about quick fixes. It is about building insight, learning tools, supporting growth and change, and helping you relate to yourself with more clarity, compassion, and flexibility.

Areas of Focus & Advanced Training

In addition to my general therapy work, I have advanced training and experience supporting individuals navigating:

  • Drama therapy and expressive approaches

  • Anxiety, shame, and guilt-based patterns

  • Burnout and role overload

  • Food-related anxiety, including food allergies and eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE)

  • ARFID and food avoidance driven by fear

  • The mind–body connection between nutrition and mental health

I am a Certified Mental Health and Nutrition Clinical Specialist and a member of the Academy of Food Allergy Counseling, which informs my work at the intersection of emotional and physical health.

My APPROACH

Stories are the fabric of our lives. In therapy, we explore narratives you have constructed around experiences and discover new, empowering narratives. I use bibliotherapy and devised storytelling to help you gain insight into personal experiences, practice empathy, and explore alternate roles, perspectives, and solutions. As a drama therapist, I incorporate role-play and projective exercises to help you find your voice and rediscover your imagination.
